Quantity Surveyor – Newport – Data Centre We are currently partnering with a leading Contractor who are active across the UK and Europe. Demonstrating success in an array of sectors including but not limited to, Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Energy and many more. Due to continued success, they are looking to further strengthen their team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Newport. Responsibilities Commercial Management of Work Packages Requirements Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades’ background Benefits £80,000 - £100,000 + Package
Take full commercial responsibility for allocated construction packages, ensuring effective cost control from procurement through to final account.
Contract Administration
Administer subcontract agreements in line with contractual requirements, managing valuations, variations, payment notices, and commercial correspondence.
Cost Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare and present accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cashflows, highlighting risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
Change & Claims Management
Manage variations, compensation events, and potential claims, ensuring timely agreement and protection of the project’s commercial position.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with project management, engineering, and site teams to ensure commercial decisions support programme, quality, and data centre delivery objectives.
Must have 5+ years experience in a similar role on large-scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must be based within a commutable distance of Newport
